summary
If you're looking for a new car with a three-pointed star on the hood, 2016 Mercedes-AMG GT S is the coolest thing you can get right now. Featuring sleek styling, amazing engine and excellent performance, the GT S is the new flagship coupe in various models of the brand.
GT S picks up right where the popular SLS AMG are left behind, even though the newer version makes two different changes. For one, unique SLS gull-wing doors have disappeared, replaced instead by traditional doors with hinges normal. Moreover, the prices are very different. GT S starts at $ 131,000 with delivery, while the SLS is more than $ 200,000. GT S also lost SLS convertible variant, although we suspect that will come together in the next year or two.
So what GT S like? Thrilling, thanks to the 4.0-liter turbocharged V8 standard that makes an impressive 503 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. Helping things along is an ultra-fast seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. If that is too much for you, base-level model of the Mercedes-AMG GT (without S) will be on sale soon, with 456 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque.
Not surprisingly, the 2016 Mercedes-AMG GT S luxury too, as touts a long list of standard features, including beams high automatic, parking sensors front and rear, keyless access with push-button starter, dual-zone automatic climate control and a navigation system with display 8-inch centers. Of course, there are also a variety of personalization options, so you can have your AMG GT just about any way you like.
