DETROIT - The sheets of cars, music blaring had died and most of the people who come here for the press preview of the North American International Auto Show is winging his way home.
After the opening of dozens of new car models, however, some prominent - both good and bad.
After sifting through all of them, we came away with some clear favorites and others that left us feeling a little sour - three hits and misses on the show. Here they are, starting with the best:
Chrysler Pacifica. Anyone would think that a minivan would be the star car show?
With much at stake, Fiat Chrysler poured a lot of heart into the vehicle which has become the franchise for the brand for more than 30 years - the minivan. The changes are so extensive that they gave Town and Country names new revived, Pacifica.
It's loaded with innovations, starting with the choice of plug-in hybrid. Other examples include the ability to open a sliding door with a wave of the lower leg and "Are we there yet" feature to tell the kids in the back seat what time they are expected to arrive at the destination.

• Buick Avista. Designers General Motors' It has done it again, producing a stunning concept car for two consecutive years.

LC take advantage of the same 467-horsepower V-8 engine found in the Lexus RC-F. RC also a coupe, but Lexus says the LC will be more in the style of grand touring. It's just gorgeous - and it will come next year for less than $ 100,000.
And the worst:
• Smart Fortwo Cabrio. Sure, it's easy to turn the new version of the little Smart car into a convertible, but why? With gas prices low and the public showing no interest in microcars, the exercise seems fairly pointless. The original Smart car was a brilliant design. To really make this brand take off again, another breakthrough is needed.
Nissan Titan Warrior concept. The opposite in stature from the Smart car, the Titan Warrior is a version of Nissan's new brawny pickup on steroids. It has 37-inch wheels, extra suspension travel and lots of tough touches to show how it could go tearing through the dirt.
Nothing wrong with that, but it just seems out of place at Detroit's auto show. It's over the top.
Plus, the unveiling of the Warrior at the auto show hit a snag as the sheet got stuck at the end of the truck as it was being pulled off:
