'Grand Prix 2016' Honda Scores Big At ASEAN NCAP

Honda recently dominated the ASEAN NCAP Grand Prix Awards held in Malaysia after winning ten (10) distinguished awards in three different categories. Honda receives two (2) awards in the category of performance Feasibility Accident; one (1) award in the category of Safety Technology; and seven (7) awards at the Mobil 5-star hotel in the category of Most Affordable ASEAN.

The all-new Civic reign as "Best Medium Family Car in AOP (Adult Occupancy Protection)" and "Best Medium Family Car in COP (Residential Child Protection)" under the category of Performance Feasibility accident. This award really highlights the benefits of hosting the All-New Civic for safety features.

2016 Civic tof hose equipped with safety features including airbags (up to 6 to RS Turbo), Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Hill Start Assist (HSA), Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), multi- upside view camera with dynamic guidelines, Seat Belt Reminder, ISOFIX, and Immobilizer. All-New Civic also have Electric Parking Brake (EPB) with Auto Brake Hold (ABH).

Under the category of Safety Technology, Honda Sensing received the "Best Safety Technology of Automobile maker" award. Honda Sensing is a system that recognizes the driving environment, the intention of the driver, and the condition of the vehicle.

Honda Sensing Function keys including Reduces Collision System (CMBS), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), Road Departure Mitigation (RDM) with Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC). Some of these features include Pilot and Legend are available locally.

Under the Mobil 5-star hotel in the category of Most Affordable ASEAN, Jazz was classified as a "5 Star Car Most Affordable in the Philippines", whereas City, BR-V and HR-V won in the category of other ASEAN countries.

Along with several awards outstanding, both Brio and Brio Amaze also reached four-star rank in ASEAN NCAP crash tests. Brio Amaze showcase top-class safety features, as well as scoring 12.88 out of 16.00 for adult occupancy protection, and 45 percent for Residential Child Protection.

ASEAN NCAP (New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asia) is in addition to the NCAP program. It aims to evaluate the safety standards, increasing consumer awareness and encourage the market for safer vehicles in the ASEAN region. ASEAN NCAP crash tests carried out as a collaboration between ASEAN NCAP and the Japan Automobile Research Institute (JARI).
