Attention Nissan GT Academy hopefuls: if you entered a lap time during the live events at SM Mall of Asia (June 30) and Trinoma (July 1-3), those lap times have just been disallowed.
NPI says that the first two live events used PlayStation 4 “Test Kits” supplied by SIEA while subsequent live events used retail PS4 units. Therefore to maintain fairness among all participants, NPI is disallowing all lap times using the PS4 Test Kits.
After noticing some disparity in lap times compared to subsequent live events, Nissan Philippines, Inc. (NPI) together with Sony Interactive Entertainment Asia (SIEA) investigated the matter. Although they could not find any tangible reason why the lap times would be different (every aspect from the game, game settings, and equipment are the same), they are erring on the side of caution and are disallowing the lap times set during the first two live events.
Nissan is inviting all those who set lap times during the first two Nissan GT Academy live events to set new lap times at future live events arranged by NPI.
