On the outside, giving a strong nod to American trucks with the new DNA, a front end corner is dominated by sporty front grille, hood, and lights. The lights also offer LED daytime running lights as well. Inside, it's much more subtle with a premium interior that focuses on comfort, spaciousness, refinement, and technology. It also offers the functionality of Apples CarPlay with Siri Eyes Free and voice recognition.

The biggest news though is what is found under the hood. For 2017, the 2.5-liter Duramax four-cylinder turbo diesel has seen the rise of electricity. At home thanks to optimized ECU tuning, power uprated to 180 horsepower at 3,600 rpm and torque of 440 Nm at 2,000 rpm. It also now Euro-4 compliant. This machine is also equipped with sound deadener around injector for quieter operation.
Apart from the engine, the chassis has been strengthened to increase the rigidity allows for better stability and comfort. New mountain cabin also reduce the movement between cabin and chassis to provide a more solid driving dynamics. Finally, in 2017 Colorado got the Electric Power Steering (EPS) system.
In the new Colorado High Country (version Chevy Ranger Wildtrak), got a lot of driver assistance features such as front and rear parking sensors, forward collision warning, tire pressure monitor, automatic rain sensors, and more.
