Facelifted Vauxhall Zafira Tourer has been revealed. It will go on sale in the UK in October with prices expected to start from around £ 18,500.
Medium MPV, which has been sold in its present form since 2011, will be updated exterior and interior design, new connectivity options and more driver assistance features.
Vauxhall Zafira Tourer has a modified front and rear bumpers, bring the car more in line with its hatchback deals, and in particular the latest Astra. In fact, the design boss Mark Adams said Vauxhall Astra was the main inspiration for the design of this Zafira.
Other new features include adaptive LED lights, which automatically adjust to nine different settings depending on road conditions.
Inside, there is a new center console and dashboard design, again in accordance with models such as the Astra and Insignia, and a larger 7.0in screen infotainment in the middle.
Two versions of the Vauxhall IntelliLink infotainment software will be offered: R4.0 version allows drivers to control their smartphone using the set-up through application CarPlay Apple and Android Auto, while versions equipped with the Navi 950 satellite navigation.
Suite Vauxhall OnStar connectivity services has also been improved and now can act as a WiFi hotspot for up to seven devices.
Zafira updated interior dimensions have not changed, meaning there is still room for seven passengers inside, and the same 710 liter storage space is offered (up to 1,860 liters with the second row of seats folded).
As well as security systems, including lane departure warning, forward collision warning and traffic sign recognition, the driver can also now opt for the adaptive cruise control and FlexRide adaptive dampers in the facelifted Zafira.
Machines of the current Zafira will be brought wholesalers, meaning buyers can choose from two diesel engines and one petrol. The most popular option is may be a 128bhp 2.0-liter diesel Ecoflex.
Vauxhall has not released official pricing information and specifications, but with the current Zafira Tourer price of £ 17 815, the price increase of around £ 18,500 seems possible. At that price, the Zafira Tourer will remain competitive against its major rivals seven-seat MPV, including £ 20 195 Citroen Grand C4 Picasso, and £ 25 145 Ford S-Max.
